The lecture, The War in Europe—the U.S. Stake in Ukraine’s Success, Is part of the 2023-24 Povolny Lecture Series in International Studies. It begins at 4:30 p.m. in Steitz Hall 102. A reception is planned for 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Greenwald is a retired senior U.S. diplomat, having spent more than 30 years focused on diplomacy between East-West, the Middle East, the European Union, and various aspects of international law. He spent the 1998-99 academic year teaching courses on the origins of war and the Cold War at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ under the auspices of the Scarff Professorship.
